DC Avanti successor to be an EV based on TCA Concept

According to a media report, Dilip Chhabria is working on an electric sports car that is said to be the successor the DC Avanti.

The new model is likely to be based on the TCA Concept that was showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo. It could go on sale sometime in 2022 with a price tag of around Rs. 40 lakh.

Dilip Chhabria has revealed that the TCA electric sports car will feature an electric powertrain that is being developed in Switzerland. The chassis and exterior of the car is ready, while the interior and lighting are still in the works.

Being an EV, the TCA will attract 5% GST, as opposed to 53% for the Avanti. DC also plans to export the TCA to international markets.
