Delivery and first impressions: Maruti Suzuki S-Presso AGS

Overall, a nice car to drive and really a boon in a crowded city like Chandigarh due to shortage of parking.

BHPian sanman18 recently shared this with other enthusiasts.

Finally got my S-Presso AGS VXI+ on Wednesday . I had booked the same on 12th Jan-22. Got some accessories installed like side cladding , boot chrome garnish , wheel cladding , window rain visor and reverse camera (Though it is very costly, Rs. 5,000/- at dealer). But had to go for it to avoid warranty issues. Did not take floor mats as I plan to buy 7D mats from the local shop. No seat covers as wife likes the original seat fabric. Also I believe that the original seat can be used for at least 2-3 years.

Got the extended warranty too. Found the car very easy to drive. But mainly, I bought it for my better half, as she has just learnt to drive and is uncomfortable driving my car (Dzire).

However, I noticed some cons like :

  • The doors don't close properly with a gentle push . Need to be closed with force.
  • The doors are not unlocked when I switch off the ignition. One needs to take out the key from the ignition to do it. Found it little inconvenient when going for some quick shopping when someone is sitting at the passenger door and you have to put some item on the back seat.
  • Engine noise feels too much inside the cabin.

Overall, a nice car to drive and really a boon in a crowded city like Chandigarh due to shortage of parking.

Some advice needed from BHPians:

  • There is no sound when I lock or unlock the car with remote (chirp sound). Can we fit a buzzer from the aftermarket as it a given indication without looking at the car that its locked or not.
  • Only two speakers are given. Is wiring available at rear doors to fit the additional speakers?

Here are some pics of the car:
