Ducati Diavel Diesel launched at Rs. 19.92 lakh

Ducati has launched the limited edition Diavel Diesel in India at a price of Rs. 19.92 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Limited to just 666 units across the globe, the Diavel Diesel will be available only on special order. Deliveries are expected to commence from August 2017.

The Diavel Diesel has been designed under a collaboration between the Ducati Design Center and Andrea Rosso, diesel licensing creative director. The bike's design is still dominated by the characteristic Diavel structure. However, the body panels are finished in hand-brushed stainless steel, with welding points and rivets visible on the edges. Red coloured inserts have been added around the instrument cluster, Brembo brake calipers and the chain drive.

The seat has pure leather upholstery and features a pyramid symbol that indicates the three Ds of Ducati, Diavel and Diesel. The exhaust gets a black Zircotec ceramic coating, which also bears the pyramid logo.

Powering the Diavel Diesel is the same Testastretta L-twin engine that churns out 160 BHP @ 9,250 rpm and 130.5 Nm of torque @ 8,000 rpm. Transmission duties are handled by a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. The front wheel gets 320 mm twin semi-floating discs with 4-piston calipers, while the rear gets a 265 mm disc brake with 2-piston calipers. A Bosch-sourced ABS unit is a standard offering.
