Ducati Panigale V4 R launched at Rs. 51.87 lakh

Ducati has launched the Panigale V4 R at an introductory price of Rs. 51.87 lakh (ex-showroom). Only 5 units will be available in India and bookings are now open. Bikes booked before November 30, 2018 will be delivered in early 2019. For bookings made post November, deliveries will begin in the second quarter of next year.

The Panigale V4 R is a road-legal WSBK category bike. It is based around an aluminium alloy frame with fully adjustable Ohlins suspension at the front and rear and an aluminium single-sided swingarm with an adjustable pivot position. The bike has a wheelbase of 1,471 mm and the seat is set at a height of 830 mm. It weighs 172 kg dry and comes with a 16-litre fuel tank.

The Panigale V4 R has triangular headlamp pods with LED DRLs and a revised side fairing with two vents. The bike also has distinct aero blades on either side of the front cowl. It comes with a single seat and an underbody exhaust.

The superbike is powered by a 998cc, liquid-cooled V4 engine that produces 217 BHP @ 15,250 rpm and 112 Nm of torque @ 11,500 rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed transmission via a slipper clutch. It comes with twin 330 mm semi-floating disc brakes with 4-piston Brembo calipers at the front and a 245 mm disc at the rear with 2-piston calipers. The bike is equipped with Bosch Cornering ABS EVO.

Standard features include 5-inch TFT instrument panel, riding modes, power modes, Ducati Traction Control (DTC) EVO, Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) EVO, Ducati Slide Control (DSC), Engine Brake Control (EBC) EVO, Auto tyre calibration among others.
