Ducati Scrambler Café Racer launched at Rs. 9.32 lakh

Ducati has launched the Scrambler Café Racer at a price of Rs. 9.32 lakh (ex-showroom, India). It's available in a single colour theme - Black Coffee with matching black frame and gold wheels. Last month, Ducati launched the Scrambler Desert Sled at a similar price point.

The aluminium clip-on handlebars get round mirrors at both ends and are unique to this model. Like most café racer bikes, the passenger seat gets a cover. Under-seat storage comes with a USB socket. The bike's front cowl area has been redesigned to integrate the LED headlight. The bike also gets a LED tail lamp with diffusion-light. Overall, the bike measures 2,107 mm in length, 810 mm in width and 1,066 mm in height with a 1,436 mm wheelbase.

The Scrambler Café Racer is powered by an 803cc, L-twin cylinder engine that produces 73 BHP @ 8,250 rpm and 67 Nm @ 5,750 rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine comes with black-trimmed covers and machined cooling fans. The Termignoni dual-pipe exhaust comes shrouded in a black anodized aluminium cover. The Café Racer is equipped with 41 mm Kayaba upside-down front fork and fully adjustable Kayaba rear shock absorber offering 150 mm of travel. The seat height is 805 mm and the bike weighs in at 172 kg dry. Fuel tank capacity is 13.5 litres.

The bike rides on 17-inch, 10-spoke cast aluminium wheels painted in a shade of gold and wrapped in 120/70 ZR17 and 180/55 ZR17 Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres in the front and rear respectively. It features a radial-type front brake pump with Brembo's 330 mm dual discs and 4-piston radial calipers up front and a 245 mm rear disc with a single-piston caliper with Bosch ABS as standard.
