Eicher Group pledges Rs. 50 crore for Covid-19 relief

The Eicher Group, which includes brands like Royal Enfield and the Volvo-Eicher joint venture has pledged Rs. 50 crore for Covid-19 relief.

The company has partnered with NGOs to provide food, provisions and sanitation consumables to underprivileged communities in various parts of the country. The funds will also be used to purchase and distribute personal protective equipment for healthcare workers across government hospitals in Chennai.

The Eicher Group will set up Covid-19 specialty wards at select government and private hospitals. The company will also donate medical equipment and provide food, sanitation supplies and Covid-19 healthcare testing kits for truck drivers.

The company is also in talks with various government organizations to support the production of medical equipment including ventilators.
