Eicher-Polaris Flexituff - official images

Eicher Motors and Polaris Industries have collaborated to produce a small commercial vehicle, which is believed to be called Flexituff. Test mules of the vehicle have been spotted on a few occasions. Now, official images of the vehicle have been leaked on the internet.

The Flexituff is believed to be built on a tubular platform and is expected to use a lot of composite materials. 20 kg of plastic is expected to be used. It will be available various body styles including a double cab micro-pickup and multi-purpose van and hard and soft-top versions. It will be aimed at bakers or small distributors in urban areas and small and marginal farmers. The vehicle can be used to transport produce or passengers.

Eicher-Polaris is expected to use a Greaves-sourced 600 cc diesel engine to power the Flexituff. This engine is rumoured to be able to return 25 kilometres to a litre of diesel.

The Flexituff is expected to be produced at a new facility in Jaipur. Between 10,000 and 12,000 are expected to be produced in the first year.
