FB-Mondial HPS 125 Cafe Racer spotted in Pune

Italian bike manufacturer FB-Mondial could be planning to enter the Indian market. The FB-Mondial HPS 125 Cafe Racer was recently spotted near Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), Pune. This indicates that the bike might be in for homologation purposes.

The HPS 125 (Hipster) is a retro style cafe racer inspired by racing bikes produced by FB-Mondial during the 1950s. The bike was spotted without any camouflage except for a small piece of tape covering the brand logo. The design incorporates a sculpted fuel tank with yellow livery, brown leather seat, dual barrel exhaust and a flat handle bar. The bike sports a round digital instrument pod, circular headlamp and spoked wheels (18-inch front and 17-inch rear) shod with 100/90-18 and 130/70-17 tyres in the front and rear respectively.

The bike uses an adjustable upside-down fork upfront and adjustable double rear shock absorbers. It is equipped with petal type disc brakes at both ends with 4-piston and 2-piston calipers at the front and rear respectively.

The HPS 125 is powered by a 125cc, single-cylinder, DOHC, liquid-cooled engine equipped with electronic fuel injection. This small capacity engine produces 15 BHP @ 9,750 rpm and 12.3 Nm of torque @ 7,500 rpm and is mated to a 6-speed transmission.

There's no official word yet from FB-Mondial about launching the HPS 125 in India.
