Ferrari Portofino launched at Rs. 3.5 crore

Ferrari has launched the Portofino convertible in India. The cheapest car in Ferrari's model line-up is priced at Rs. 3.5 crore (ex-showroom).

The Ferrari Portofino was unveiled at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show as a replacement to the California T. The Portofino measures 4,586 mm in length, 1,938 mm in width and 1,318 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2,670 mm and weighs 1,664 kg (kerb weight). It has a 292-litre boot and comes with an 80-litre fuel tank.

The Portofino is a 2+2 convertible with a metal folding roof. The car features L-shaped headlamps with a wide grille and a vented bonnet. It has vents on the front fenders and flared rear wheel arches. At the rear, the Portofino gets circular tail lamps and a dual-tone bumper with quad-exhausts. It also has an integrated diffuser.

The Portofino comes with leather interiors and a dashboard with circular air-conditioning vents and a large touchscreen infotainment system. It has a 3-spoke multi-function, flat-bottom steering wheel and 3-pod instrument cluster with an analogue tachometer in the centre. 

The Ferrari Portofino is powered by a 3.9-litre, twin-turbo V8 that produces 591 BHP @ 7,500 rpm and peak torque of 760 Nm @ 3,000-5,250 rpm. The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Ferrari claims that the Portofino can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and has a top speed in excess of 320 km/h.
