Fiat Argo - official images revealed in Brazil

Fiat Brazil has released images of the Argo hatchback that will replace the Punto in Fiat's international portfolio. It has been designed and developed in Brazil and is expected go on sale in Latin American markets in the near future.

The official images reveal a sharp and muscular design theme for the Argo, which is a departure from the relatively understated looks of its predecessor. The released images are of the HGT variant which comes with some sporty design cues to the hatchback. The front gets large swept-back headlamps with DRLs, a wide grille with the Fiat logo in the centre, prominent creases on the bonnet and an air dam with contrasting red inserts.

The rear features wraparound twin-section tail lamps with a prominent Fiat logo placed in the centre of the tailgate. The bumper houses boomerang-shaped reflectors and a faux diffuser on the lower part. The car also gets a trapezoidal chrome exhaust tip and diamond cut alloy wheels.

Reports suggest that the Brazil-spec Argo will come with three petrol engine options with displacements of 1.0-litre, 1.3-litre and 1.5-litre. Manual as well as automatic transmission options are likely to be on offer.
