First 500 units of the MG Astor delivered

The top-spec Astor Savvy comes equipped with Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

Deliveries of the MG Astor have commenced in India and 500 cars were handed over to customers on the first day. MG plans to deliver 4,000-5,000 units by the end of this year.

The Astor is available in five variants - Style, Super, Smart, Sharp and Savvy. The SUV is priced from Rs. 9.78 lakh for the base Style variant to Rs. 17.38 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Savvy 1.3L Petrol AT version.

The top-spec Savvy trim comes equipped with Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). It includes features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Prevention and Speed Assist.

The MG Astor is available with two engine options. These include a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol unit producing 138 BHP and 230 Nm and a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated motor that puts out 109 BHP and 144 Nm. The former is available with an automatic transmission, while the 1.5-litre engine comes with the option of a manual and CVT.
