First Kia Seltos rolls off the production line

The first Seltos SUV has rolled out of Kia's production facility in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. 

Bookings for the Seltos opened on July 16, 2019. According to the company, 23,311 cars have been booked in 3 weeks. It will be officially launched on August 22, 2019. 

The Kia Seltos will be offered in two trims - GT Line and Tech Line and will come in three petrol and five diesel variants. 

The Kia Seltos will be available with three engine options. These include a 1.4-litre, turbocharged petrol engine producing 138 BHP and 242 Nm. It will be paired with a 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. 

The second engine option is a 1.5-litre, naturally aspirated petrol unit that produces 113 BHP and 144 Nm of torque. It will be offered with a 6-speed manual and CVT. 

The 1.5-litre diesel engine puts out 113 BHP and 250 Nm of torque and comes paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
