First spy shots: Jaguar Type 00 EV sedan caught testing

These new pictures show the car from all sides, more clearly than the shots that Jaguar released prior to the unveiling event.

Jaguar was the talk of the town towards the end of 2024 when it unveiled the branding for its all-electric future. As part of this exercise, the coupe concept Type 00 sedan was also revealed in Miami.

What you see here now are the first real-time spy shots of the test mule being tested in Sweden. These new pictures show the car from all sides, more clearly than the shots that Jaguar released prior to the unveiling event.

At first glance, the proportions look like a classic cab-backward, front-engined, rear-wheel drive sedan or a GT.  What is also seen is a sloping roof line ending in a short tail. These new angles also confirm that there is no rear window. There are flush door handles as well.

The huge gap between the door and the front wheel could house the charging port for this reborn Leaping Cat. The front grille is not visible nor are the interiors. There is also no word on the official technical specifications.

However, Jaguar is aiming at a WLTP range of 770km on a single charge and ultra-fast charging that can add 321 km in 15-minutes flat.

The production version of the Type 00 is expected to debut end of 2025 before going on sale in 2026.
