Ford launches EcoSport SE without a spare tyre

The EcoSport SE comes with a puncture repair kit and sunroof as standard.

Ford has launched EcoSport SE at a price of Rs. 10.49 lakh for petrol and Rs. 10.99 lakh for diesel variants (ex-showroom).

The main difference between the regular EcoSport and the EcoSport SE is the fact that the latter does not get a tailgate mounted spare wheel. Instead, the car comes with a puncture repair kit as standard. Other changes include a silver skid plate on the rear bumper and the number plate mounting point has also been repositioned. The car rides on 16-inch alloy wheels.

On the inside, the EcoSport SE comes equipped with a touchscreen infotainment head-unit with SYNC3, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. It also gets a sunroof as standard and FordPass cloud-connected device that offers features like remote starting, stopping, locking or unlocking.

The EcoSport SE is offered with the same engine options as the regular model. These include a 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine rated at 120 BHP and 149 Nm and a 1.5-litre diesel engine developing 99 BHP and 215 Nm. Both engines are paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
