Ford Ka (next-gen Figo) revealed in Brazil

Ford Brazil has revealed the new Ka hatchback. The production version of the car has looks similar to the Ka concept, which was shown in November, last year (link). However, going by the pictures that have been put up on the company's website, there seem to be a couple of minor changes that have been incorporated in the car making it appear similar to the one that was spotted testing in March 2014 (link).

The chrome plated slats on the grille have been dropped in favour of a honeycomb design. The headlights have a smoked look and different elements, but retain their original shape. The rest of the car seems to be unchanged.

The Ka will come with a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that can produce 85 bhp and 105 Nm of torque. The engine will be coupled to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

In India, Ford is expected to launch the Ka as the next-generation Figo. When it comes to our shores in 2015, we expect it to be available with an optional diesel engine as well.
