France introduces 30 km/h speed limits in Paris

The reason for the introduction of the speed limits is aimed at reducing the number of accidents, while also cutting down on noise and pollution.

France has introduced a 30 km/h speed limit across Paris. According to a news report, the speed limit will apply to almost every street across the capital city, apart from a few key routes.

Reports suggest that two-thirds of Paris was already subjected to the speed limits, but now it has been extended across the city. The reason for the introduction of the speed limits is aimed at reducing the number of accidents, while also cutting down on noise and pollution.

The reports also suggest that as per a poll result, 59% of the people in Paris have supported the move. They stated that the move to introduce the speed limit could make the streets safer and more pedestrian-friendly.

However, not everyone is on board with the new regulations. Delivery drivers state that the move could create longer waiting times for customers, which in turn will affect business.
