French Grand Prix is 10th F1 race to be cancelled

With the crisis caused by the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, organisers of the French Formula 1 Grand Prix have decided to cancel the 2020 edition of the event. This makes the French Grand Prix the 10th Formula 1 race to be called off or postponed this year.

The French Grand Prix was scheduled to be held at Circuit Paul Ricard on the June 26 - 28, 2020 weekend. The decision to cancel the race comes after the French Government announced that all major events in the country will be banned till the middle of July. France has also imposed travel restrictions in an attempt to contain the spread of coronavirus.

This has made it impossible for the Grand Prix to be held on the scheduled days. For those who have already purchased tickets for the Grand Prix, the reimbursement methods will be specified on the website www.gpfrance.com.
