Harley-Davidson Sportster S launched at Rs 15.51 lakh

Powering the Sportster S is Harley-Davidson's Revolution Max engine that was first seen on the Pan America 1250.

Harley-Davidson has launched the Sportster S in India. The latest offering from the American motorcycle company carries a price tag of Rs 15.51 lakh (ex-showroom).

Harley-Davidson revealed the Sportster S globally earlier this year. Now, the motorcycle has arrived in India. It was launched at the recently concluded IBW 2021. It is available in three colours options - Vivid Black, Stone Washed White Pearl and Midnight Crimson.

Powering the Sportster S is Harley-Davidson's Revolution Max engine that was first seen on the Pan America 1250, which is already on sale in India. It is a 1,252cc, liquid-cooled, V-twin engine that has been tuned slightly differently for the Sportster S. On this motorcycle, it produces 119 BHP and 114 Nm.

The Harley-Davidson Sportster S comes with a 4-inch TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, a 6-axis IMU, traction control, cornering ABS, ride modes, cruise control, TMPS, and full-LED lighting.

For the suspension, Harley-Davidson has provided a pair of fully adjustable USD front forks and a mono-shock at the rear. The braking duties are handled by a single 320 mm front rotor with a 4-piston radial caliper from Brembo and a 260 mm rear rotor with a 2-piston Brembo caliper.
