Harrier.ev production commences at Tata Motors' Pune plant

The Harrier.ev is priced from Rs 21.49 lakh to Rs 30.23 lakh for the top-spec Empowered QWD 75 ACFC variant.

Tata Motors has commenced production of the Harrier.ev at its Pune plant. The electric SUV will start arriving at dealerships across India soon. Customer deliveries will begin this month.

The Tata Harrier.ev is based on the acti.ev+ architecture. It is available in four trims: Adventure, Adventure S, Fearless+ and Empowered, and two drive configurations: Quad Wheel Drive (QWD) and Rear Wheel Drive (RWD).

The lower variants are equipped with a 65 kWh battery, which powers a single electric motor. Higher variants get a 75 kWh battery pack and dual electric motors generating 309 BHP and 504 Nm of torque. The Harrier.ev can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 6.3 seconds.

Tata claims the 75 kWh battery pack has a range of 627 km (MIDC cycle), which translates to a real-world range of 480-505 km for the 75 kWh RWD version. The EV comes with a 7.2 kW AC charger, which can replenish the battery from 10-100% in 10.7 hours. The SUV can be charged from 20-80% in 25 minutes using a 120 kW DC fast charger.
