Heartwarming how Indigo cabin crew handled ill passenger on my flight

The entire episode takes around half hour, during which one of the stewardess was present with the passenger, standing and talking calmly right next to her.

Last weekend for Bangalore - Kolkata, opted for a morning Indigo from Bangalore.

Some 1.5 hours in to the 2 hour 15 mins flight, an elderly lady sitting in the first row calls up flight crew and complains its bit too hot / she is unable to breath properly. I was sitting just two rows behind and hence can overhear the conversation and also, the cabin was generally silent now since most were napping and in cabin lights were also off.

Do note that the temperature inside the flight was fine, it wasn't cold, but not warm also. However, I guess the stewardess made out the issue in no time, she without any second thought, went to the control unit near the door and made decreased the temperature settings and came back to the lady and stood in front of her talking to her.

I guess the expression on her face made her colleagues also understand the situation, where two of them joins here in no time. They start by offering the lady a banana and some water. I guess the banana was something one of the stewardess was carrying for personal consumption, since Indigo doesn't serve fruits as part of their menu.

By now the lady was feeling worse still, so one of the stewardess gets on the speaker and enquires if any medical personal in the flight. Luckily another passenger, who was just in next row happens to be a doctor, she gets up, heads to the first row, sits in the next seat to the passenger in distress and started analyzing her.

Seems like, she was suffering from low BP, so the crew in no time gets ORS sachets from their medical kit mixed in water and hands over to the doctor, who hands this to the passenger. She has that and slowly starts feeling better.

The entire episode takes around half hour, during which one of the stewardess was present with the passenger, standing and talking calmly right next to her.

Also, heartwarming to notice was, when the passenger in the next seat had to get up and wait at the aisle since the doctor was occupying her seat. Though she the doctors seat in next row was empty now, this passenger was just standing there. Multiple passengers came over to her asking her to take their seat and rest till the time she gets her seat back.

I am someone who generally avoids Indigo if there is an alternative flight around the same time. However, was impressed by the quick thinking and calmness at with the stewardess handled the situation and also glad that the elderly lady recovered quickly.
