Hero MotoCorp gives Pleasure a facelift

Indian two-wheeler giant, Hero MotoCorp has given the Pleasure scooter a facelift.

The most significant change in the 2014 Pleasure is the addition of an integrated braking system (IBS), which triggers off both brakes when the left side brake lever is pressed. This, the manufacturer claims, reduces the stopping distance and improves stability. The right side brake can be used on its own too.

Cosmetic changes include a redesigned headlamp, tail lamp, turn indicators and grab rail. There is a new instrument cluster, which has an integrated side stand indicator that alerts the rider about the position of the side stand. Other features include a mobile charging socket and a large under-seat box with LED lighting for storage. The scooter is available in nine body colours.

The Pleasure is powered by a 102 cc, air-cooled, 4-stroke, single-cylinder engine that develops 6.74 hp @ 7000 rpm and 7.85 Nm of torque @ 5000 rpm.

The Pleasure is available in two variants:

  • Steel wheels - priced at Rs. 45,960 (ex-showroom, Mumbai)
  • Alloy wheels - priced at Rs. 47,075 (ex-showroom, Mumbai)

Both variants ride on tubeless tyres.

Dealers are accepting bookings for the 2014 Pleasure. Hero MotoCorp is aiming the scooter at women customers.
