Hero Motocorp to hike bike & scooter prices by upto Rs. 2,000

Hero MotoCorp has announced that prices of its bikes and scooters will go up from January 1, 2020. Ex-showroom prices will be hiked by upto Rs. 2,000.

Hero Motorcorp has 21 models in its line up. These include the Pleasure, Maestro, Duet and Destini scooters and Splendor, Passion and HF Deluxe commuter bikes as well as the Glamour and Achiever 150. In the opposite end of the price range are models like the Xtreme, Karizma ZMR and Xpulse range of bikes.

It's common for 2-wheeler manufacturers to hike prices in the new year. However, this year, the price hike is expected to be a bit steeper due to the BS6 emission norms that will come into effect from April 2020.
