Hero MotoCorp hits production milestone of 10 crore units

The company had hit the 5 crore unit production mark in a span of just 7 years.

Hero MotoCorp has reached a new production milestone. The company crossed 100 million (10 crore) units in cumulative production. It is among the fastest brands to reach this milestone.

The milestone was reached when the unit no. 10 crore - an Xtreme 160R bike rolled off the assembly line at the company's Haridwar plant.

For the last 20 consecutive years, Hero MotoCorp has been the world's largest 2-wheeler manufacturer. The company had hit the 5 crore unit production mark in a span of just 7 years.

In 1994, Hero MotoCorp celebrated the 10 lakh unit milestone. The company had produced 50 lakh 2-wheelers by 2001. Production crossed the 1 crore mark in 2004 and by 2008 the bike maker had produced 2.5 crore 2-wheelers.
