Hero MotoCorp plans to launch six new models in the next 2-3 years, including scooters, dirt bikes and electric motorcycles. The brand’s first mass-market electric bike will be the Splendor EV, which is expected to be launched in 2027.
According to media reports, the electric Splendor (codenamed: AEDA) is being developed at Hero’s Centre of Innovation and Technology, Jaipur. The Splendor EV will be aimed at the commuter segment. Once it goes into production, the bike maker aims to build around 2 lakh units per year.
Hero MotoCorp also plans to introduce an electric dirt bike. The Vida Lynx is expected to be launched in 2026. It will be aimed at international markets, and the company aims to produce around 10,000 units per year.
Reports suggest that two more electric motorcycles equivalent to 150cc and 250cc bikes are being developed under project ADZA. These will be aimed at young riders.
