Honda 2Wheelers to make 250+cc engines for global markets

The company has set up a dedicated line at its Gujarat factory to produce engines powering its 250cc and above products to meet the growing demand in the global markets.

Honda 2Wheelers India has announced that it has started manufacturing engines for its products that are on sale in the global markets, at its Gujarat plant.

The company has set up a dedicated line at its factory in Vithalapur, Ahmedabad, to produce engines powering its 250cc and above products to meet the growing demand in markets like Thailand, USA, Canada, Europe, Japan, Australia and other regions.

Honda 2Wheelers India has invested over Rs 135 crore to manufacture mid-size engines at its Gujarat plant for both domestic and international markets. The company is targeting to make 50,000 engines in the first year. The capacity will be scaled up in the future based on the market demand.

Honda has recently launched the Anniversary Edition of the H'ness CB 350 at the IBW 2021. The company had also unveiled the BS6 version of the CB300R at the event.
