Honda has sold over 5.3 lakh units of the Amaze in India since its launch.

The Honda Amaze is celebrating its 10th anniversary in India. The subcompact sedan went on sale in April 2013. Over 5.3 lakh units have been sold since then.

Honda currently offers three models in India, all three being sedans. According to the company, the Amaze is one out of every two Honda cars sold in India, accounting for 53% of the brand's sales in India.

Honda sold 2.6 lakh units of the first-generation Amaze between April 2013 and March 2018. The second-generation Amaze was introduced in May 2018. Since then, the carmaker has dispatched 2.7 lakh units of the compact sedan.

Today, the Amaze is available with a 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine that has been updated to comply with RDE emission norms. The engine is paired with either a 5-speed manual or a CVT.

The Amaze is manufactured at Honda's Tapukara plant in Rajasthan. Honda also exports the Amaze to South Africa and SAARC countries.
