Honda Cars India adds Modulo accessories to the Amaze

The Honda Amaze compact sedan is having a dream run in the Indian car market, thanks to sharp pricing and the diesel engine option. While most car brands in India are painting the town red with limited edition models and discounts to make most of the demand arising from the festive season, Honda Cars India has unveiled the Modulo accessory pack for the Amaze compact sedan. Honda sells the Modulo accessories in South East Asian markets for cars such as the Brio hatchback and Amaze sedan.

The following are the accessories that are available for the Honda Amaze through the Modulo kit:

  • Front bumper lip spoiler
  • Black grille with chrome surround
  • Side skirts
  • Rear skirt
  • Boot lid spoiler
  • Revised alloy wheel design
  • Aluminium pedals
  • Illuminated footwells

Of all the accessories, the black grille with chrome surround is something that many Amaze buyers have been waiting for, especially those who find the chromed grille of the car too loud for their tastes. Prices for these accessories are yet to be announced. The Amaze compact sedan is available with two engine options: A 1.2 liter i-VTEC petrol engine that outputs 88 Bhp-110 Nm and a 1.5 liter i-DTEC turbo diesel engine that outputs 98 Bhp-200 Nm. Both engines get a five speed manual gearbox as standard.

Honda also offers the petrol engined version of the Amaze with a five speed automatic gearbox. The Amaze compact sedan's chief competitor is the Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire. Constrained by production capacity and a smaller dealer network when compared with that of Maruti Suzuki, Honda sells about 6,500 units of the Amaze each month while Maruti manages monthly sales of well over 15,000 units of the Swift Dzire on an average.
