Honda cars recalled to replace Takata airbag inflators

Honda has recalled the Jazz, City, Civic, CR-V and Accord to replace faulty Takata front airbag inflators. A total of 5,088 cars have been affected by this issue.

According to Honda, the affected cars include 10 units of the Jazz built between 2009-2012, 2,099 units of the City manufactured between 2007-2013, 52 units of the Civic built from 2006-2008, 2,577 units of the CR-V built between 2003-2008 and those manufactured in 2011 as well as 350 Accords built in 2003.

The replacement of the driver and passenger front airbag inflators will be carried out free of cost at Honda dealerships across India from July 29, 2019. 

Owners can check if their cars are affected by this recall by entering the 17 character Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on this website.
