Last month, we had reported that the upcoming Honda CBR 650F motorcycle was spotted doing laps at the Buddh International Circuit. Now the bike has been seen at a dealership in Indore indicating that its launch could be nearing.
Honda had showcased the CBR 650F at the 2014 Auto Expo. It has a steel frame with a full fairing, a telescopic fork suspension at the front and a monoshock at the rear. It is powered by a 649cc, inline 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine that develops 86 BHP @ 11,000 rpm and 63 Nm of torque @ 8,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission. The CBR 650F has 320 mm dual disc brakes and a single 240 mm disc brake at the front and rear respectively. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels shod with a 120/70 section tyre at the front and a 180/55 section tyre at the rear. The bike has digital instrumentation and a 17.3-litre fuel tank.
The CBR 650F will be assembled at Honda's facility in Manesar, Haryana. The bike will be sold through a Shop-In-Shop distribution format across 20 priority cities in India.
