Honda City hatchback spied in Thailand

The first spy images of the Honda City hatchback have surfaced online. The car was spotted in Thailand.

Earlier this year, patent images of the City hatchback had also leaked, revealing the car's exterior design. The car is based on the fifth generation City and features a similar front end. It has 3-pod headlamps with a large chrome insert on the grille. Up to the C-pillar, the car looks similar to City. At the rear, the car has wraparound tail lamps that look similar to those on the Mercedes A-Class. The rear bumper houses vertical reflector strips on either side.

The test mule seen in these images has a roof spoiler and a shark fin antenna. The car is riding on black alloy wheels.

Honda is gearing up to launch the new City in India. However, its hatchback version is unlikely to make it to Indian shores.
