Honda City Hybrid launched at Rs. 19.50 lakh

The City e:HEV is available in the top-spec ZX trim and comes with equipped with 'Honda Sensing' advanced driver assistance features.

Honda has announced the launch of the City hybrid in India. The City e:HEV is available in the top-spec ZX trim, priced at Rs. 19,49,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The City e:HEV is powered by a Strong Hybrid powertrain. It uses a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine paired with two electric motors, offering a combined output of 124 BHP and 253 Nm. The engine is mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and comes with three drive modes - EV, Hybrid and Petrol. Honda claims a fuel economy figure of 26.5 km/l.

The hybrid version of the City gets a few cosmetic revisions, including a revised radiator grille and bumper, 16-inch alloy wheels, a reworked rear bumper and a boot lip spoiler.

The car has a dual-tone interior with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment head-unit and a 7-inch colour TFT instrument cluster. It comes equipped with features like a one-touch electric sunroof, walk-away auto lock and 37 connected features.

Advanced driver assistance systems like Lane Keep Assist, Collision Mitigation Braking System, Road Departure Mitigation, Adaptive Cruise Control, Auto High Beam are offered as part of 'Honda Sensing'. It also comes with 6 airbags, a rearview camera, TPMS, Vehicle Stability Assist with Agile Handling Assist, Hill Start Assist, and ISOFIX child seat anchors.

Honda is offering a 3-years / unlimited kilometers warranty on the City Hybrid. Customers can also opt for an Extended Warranty of up to 5 years and Anytime Warranty of up to 10 years. The lithium-ion battery has a warranty of 8-years / 1.6 lakh km (whichever is earlier).
