The Honda Elevate will compete with the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Astor, Skoda Kushaq, VW Taigun, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.

Honda has taken the wraps off its all-new mid-size SUV, the Elevate. Bookings will open in July 2023, while prices will be announced this festive season.

The Honda Elevate measures 4,312 mm in length, 1,790 mm in width, 1,650 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,650 mm. The SUV offers a ground clearance of 220 mm and comes with a 458-litre boot.

The styling of the Elevate is based on Honda's latest design philosophy. It features an upright front fascia with a large rectangular grille, squared-off wheel arches and clean lines. The car has sleek LED headlamps up front and L-shaped LED tail lights and it rides on dual-tone alloy wheels.

The Elevate comes with a dual-tone interior with beige upholstery. Again, Honda has opted for a cleaner design for the dashboard. It has a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the centre, a 3-spoke steering wheel and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster.

The Elevate also comes equipped with the Honda Sensing ADAS suite, which includes safety features like a collision mitigation braking system, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, road departure warning and automatic high beam assist.

Powering the Elevate is a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that makes 119 BHP @ 6,600 rpm and 145 Nm @ 4,300 rpm. The engine is mated with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed CVT. According to the company, a pure-electric version of the Elevate is also in the works. It is expected to debut in 3 years' time.

The Honda Elevate will compete with the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Astor, Skoda Kushaq, VW Taigun, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.
