Honda Jazz coming soon. Official teaser video released

View Forum Discussion

After much speculation regarding the launch date, finally Honda has released an official teaser video of the 2015 Jazz hatchback. Honda India's official website has a teaser image of the new car too, indicating that the launch is very soon.

From the video it is quite evident that the car's front does share some similarity with the Honda City, especially the new chrome grill with the 'H' logo sitting proudly in between. Other details that could be identified were that the car has front fog lamps, body coloured ORVMs with integrated turn indicators (they retract electrically too), what appear to be 15" alloy wheels and a rear spoiler.

Interiors sport a black and grey theme. The steering wheel resembles the City's unit with mounted controls. A large infotainment screen sits in the centre of the dashboard which seems to have navigation, DVD, Bluetooth, Aux-in, i-pod and USB connectivity. The car doesn't seem to have an engine start-stop button nor keyless entry like its closest rival - Elite i20. The layout of the instrument cluster appears similar to the City, but the design seems new.

The Jazz is expected to be made available with a 1.2 litre i-VTEC petrol engine mated to either a 5-speed manual gearbox or an automatic transmission. For the first time, the Jazz will be available with a 1.5 litre i-DTEC diesel motor too. The Jazz will be manufactured at Honda's Tapukara facility.
