Honda launches 2018 CB Shine SP, Livo & Dream Yuga

Honda has updated its commuter bike line up. The 2018 CB Shine SP, Livo and Dream Yuga are now available at prices starting from Rs. 62,032, Rs. 56,230 and Rs. 52,741 respectively.

Depending on the brake setup, the CB Shine SP comes in three variants priced at Rs. 62,032 (Drum), Rs. 64,518 (Disc) and Rs. 66,508 (CBS). It gets a new tank shroud, redesigned graphics, a new instrument cluster with service due indicator & clock and a new low maintenance seal chain. The new CB Shine SP is offered in 5 colour options - Pearl Siren Blue, Geny Grey Metallic, Athletic Blue Metallic, Imperial Red Metallic and Black.

It is powered by the same 124.73 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 10.16 BHP @ 7,500 rpm and 10.30 Nm of torque @ 5,500 rpm and comes paired with a 5-speed transmission. It is offered with either a 240 mm disc brake or 130 mm drum in the front and a 130 mm drum brake in the rear. 

The 2018 Livo is available in 2 variants Drum and Disc priced at Rs. 56,230 and Rs. 58,720 respectively. Like the CB Shine SP, the Livo too gets new graphics, an analogue-digital instrument cluster with service due indicator and clock as well as a low maintenance seal chain. The bike comes in 5 colour schemes - Black, Athletic Blue Metallic, Sunset Brown Metallic, Matte Axis Grey Metallic and Imperial Red Metallic.

The Livo is mechanically identical to its predecessor. It is powered by a 109.19 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that delivers 8.31 BHP @ 7,500 rpm and 9.09 Nm @ 5,000 rpm and comes paired with a 4-speed gearbox. The brake setup is identical to the CB Shine SP.

The 2018 Dream Yuga gets new graphics and instrument cluster as well as body-coloured rear view mirrors. Honda has also introduced its new HET tyre - a low rolling resistance tyre that is claimed to improve overall efficiency. It also gets a low maintenance seal chain. In addition to the existing dual-tone shades of Black with Red, Black with Lemon Ice Yellow, Black with Radiant Red Metallic, Sports Red with Black and Black with Heavy Grey Metallic, the 2018 Dream Yuga is also available in Black with Sunset Brown Metallic colour.

The Dream Yuga uses the same 109.19 cc, single-cylinder engine as the Livo. Unlike the Livo, it does not get a front disc brake option. Instead, it comes equipped with 130 mm drum brakes at both ends.
