Honda launches Activa 125 at Rs. 56,607

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has launched the Activa 125. There scooter is available in two variants - Standard and Deluxe. The standard variant has steel wheels and drum brakes all round and is priced at Rs. 56,607 (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The Deluxe comes with alloy wheels, a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear and is priced at Rs. 62,588 (ex-showroom, Mumbai). Both variants are equipped with tubeless tyres and Honda's combined brake system (CBS).

The Activa 125 was unveiled at the 2014 Auto Expo earlier this year. It is powered by a 124.9 cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder unit, which develops 8.6 bhp @ 6500 rpm and 10.12 Nm of torque @ 5500 rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheel through a V-Matic CVT transmission. Electric start is standard on both variants of the Activa 125. The scooter features Honda Eco Technology, which the company claims, improves fuel efficiency.

The Activa 125 has a telescopic fork at the front and a spring loaded hydraulic rear suspension. The bike is available in four body colours - blue, silver, black and white.
