Honda plans to launch 10 new electric 2-wheelers by 2030

Honda will introduce four new EVs between 2025 and 2027.

This year, Honda launched its first electric scooters in the Indian market – Activa e: and QC1. But, the bikemaker won’t stop at that. Over the next 5 years, Honda plans to launch 10 new electric vehicles in India.

According to media reports, Honda will introduce four new EVs between 2025 and 2027, while the remaining six will arrive by 2030. While the exact details are unknown, the new models will be tailored for the Indian customer.

Honda believes that India will be the fastest-growing market in the coming decades. The electric 2-wheeler segment has also shown impressive growth, and the company aims to sell around 3 lakh units per annum (cumulative sales of the four new models that will debut between 2025 and 2027).

India will also serve as a manufacturing hub for Honda’s global EVs. Recent reports indicate that Honda is looking to set up a dedicated EV manufacturing facility in India. It is expected to be operational by 2028.
