Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India is gearing up to showcase its first electric scooter for the Indian market on November 27. Ahead of its official unveiling, the bike maker has now shared the first teaser.
Honda’s first e-scooter is expected to be an electric version of the Activa. The teaser titled “Electrify your dreams” provides a glimpse of its LED headlamp.
The Activa Electric is expected to feature a rectangular LED headlamp. You can also see the Honda logo just below the headlamp unit.
The new electric scooter could be based on a modified version of the same ICE platform that underpins the Activa. Honda says that the performance will be similar to the Activa 110. It is expected to be powered by Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) batteries, offering a range of around 100 km on a single charge.
The new e-scooter from Honda will compete with models like the Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube, Ather Rizta, and Ola S1.
