Hyundai completes 25 years of exports from India

Hyundai has exported over 3.7 million made-in-India vehicles cumulatively.

It's been 25 years since Hyundai started exporting made-in-India passenger cars. The company commenced exports in 1999 and to date, 3.7 million vehicles have been shipped to global markets.

Over the last 25 years, Hyundai has exported vehicles manufactured in India to over 150 countries and currently exports to over 60 countries. 

Hyundai exported a total of 1,58,686 vehicles in CY 2024. The cumulative exports of the i10 surpassed the 1.5 million unit mark, and that of the Verna crossed 5 lakh units. In CY 2024, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Mexico, Chile and Peru emerged as the largest export markets for HMIL by volume. 

In 2024, Hyundai began exporting the Exter to South Africa. It is the eighth made-in-India model in the South African market. Over 1 million vehicles have been exported to Africa cumulatively.
