Hyundai has announced the culmination of durability tests being conducted on the Alcazar – its upcoming 7-seater SUV in a castle themed camouflage. The company has also released a trailer video of the vehicle.

With the castle themed camouflage, Hyundai aimed to exemplify castles and palaces and creating an imagery that connects with the aspirations of customers across India. Hyundai claims that the Alcazar has been tested over varying terrains such as rough roads, fast-paced highways and hilly terrain as well as challenging weather conditions.

The Alcazar shares its underpinnings with the Creta, but gets a redesigned body. It is equipped with LED headlamps and diamond cut alloy wheels. On the inside, it gets 3 rows of seats with separate captain seats in the second row.

There are rumours that the SUV will get the 2.0-litre petrol engine that does duty in the Elantra as well as the Tucson. Apart from this engine, the SUV could also be offered with a 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine.
