Hyundai Elantra removed from brand's website

The only executive sedan currently on sale is the Skoda Octavia.

Hyundai has removed the Elantra from its official website, which suggests that the model may have been discontinued.

The Elantra was launched on October 3, 2019. It was offered in four variants with prices ranging from Rs. 15.89 lakh to Rs. 20.39 lakh (ex-showroom). However, the executive sedan found fewer takers in a market that was more inclined towards SUVs.

The Elantra was powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that produced 150 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 192 Nm @ 4,000 rpm. The engine was mated with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission.

Earlier, the Honda Civic was also discontinued due to slow sales. The only model in this segment that has been doing decent numbers is the Skoda Octavia.
