Hyundai i20 N Line unveiled; bookings open

The i20 N Line comes with a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine mated to either a 6-speed iMT or 7-speed DCT.

Hyundai has revealed the i20 N Line for the Indian market. It is expected to go on sale in September, but pre-bookings are now open. Customers can place their orders by paying a token amount of Rs. 25,000.

The i20 N Line gets a sporty exterior featuring dual-tone bumpers and side skirts with red accents, a roof spoiler as well as twin-exhausts. The car also gets newly-designed 16-inch alloy wheels and disc brakes on all four corners.

The i20 N Line gets an all-black interior with red highlights. It comes with leatherette seats featuring the N Logo, leather-wrapped gear knob, 3-spoke steering wheel, metal pedals and red ambient lighting.

In terms of equipment, the i20 N Line gets the same 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system as the standard i20. It is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The car also has features such as a digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, automatic climate control, cruise control, sunroof and a 7-speaker Bose audio system.

i20 N Line engine & transmission

Under the bonnet, the i20 N Line comes with a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine that produces 118 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 172 Nm @ 1,500-4,000 rpm. The engine is mated to either a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.

The suspension is said to have been tweaked for a sportier ride. Hyundai has also tuned the exhaust note to spice up the driving experience.
