The Hyundai Ioniq 5 facelift made its global debut exactly a year ago. The updated version of the EV has now been spotted testing in India, which indicates that it will be launched in the near future.
As part of the update, the Ioniq 5 gets subtle cosmetic changes on the outside. The EV comes with a revised front grille design, along with slightly larger front and rear bumpers, new alloy wheels, and a rear wiper. It is also slightly longer and wider than the outgoing model.
Inside, the Ioniq 5 facelift features more physical buttons for frequently used functions. It also comes with a wireless charging pad, a new steering wheel with interactive pixel lights, OTA updates to the infotainment screen, and added safety features like Hand-On Detection (HOD) steering wheel, Lane Keeping Assist, Remote Smart Parking Assist 2 and 8 airbags.
The Ioniq 5 facelift comes with a larger 84 kWh battery pack, offering up to 570 km of range (WLTP cycle), as opposed to 72.6 kWh, which powers the current Ioniq 5.
