Big shoutout to libranof1987 for shooting these pictures & his coverage of the Bharat Mobility Global Expo. Thanks for sharing, man!
Hyundai’s all-electric SUV with 3 rows of seating was displayed at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo. It is based on the E-GMP platform that also underpins the Kia EV9 that was launched in October last year. However, there are no plans for the launch of the Ioniq 9 as of now:
It comes in a rear wheel drive or an all-wheel drive configuration. The motor produces 215 BHP in the RWD version and 308 BHP in the AWD version:
The front end features parametric pixels integrated into LED light units, which you can see here. It’s a very rounded face and the flaps that you see at the bottom, open for heat management:
You get 19-inch wheels as standard and you can go up to 21 inches. The wheels have aerodynamic inserts and the Ioniq 9 has a drag coefficient of 0.259:
In terms of sheer size, the Ioniq 9 is huge. In fact, it has a wheelbase of 3,130 mm which is the longest wheelbase of any Hyundai model:
A very simple-looking rear end with pixel lamps running across the edges:
A quick look at the spec sheet for the Ioniq 9:
The car was locked and hence no photographs of the interiors.
