Hyundai Kona facelift teased

Hyundai has released teaser images of the upcoming Kona facelift.

The refreshed Kona gets a new front fascia that gives it a wider stance. The sleeker look is thanks to what Hyundai terms as a shark-inspired nose. Hyundai has also teased the sportier N Line variant of the Kona crossover. It has three vents on the top of the grille and appears to have a different front bumper.

In India, Hyundai offers the all-electric version of the Kona. It too is likely to get the same cosmetic updates. The electric SUV is uses a 39.2 kWh battery that powers an electric motor that has an output of 134 BHP and 395 Nm. The car has an ARAI certified range of 452 km on a single charge.

We had earlier reported that Hyundai is creating an EV sub-brand called Ioniq. Under the new sub-brand Hyundai will offer a range of electric cars including the Ioniq 5 mid-size SUV, Ioniq 6 sedan and Ioniq 7. These cars will be based on Hyundai's electric global modular platform (E-GMP) and will have fast charging capability.
