Hyundai Kona long-term update: Bangalore to Chennai in a single charge

A further update to the Kona's impeccable performance, almost 37K and still delivering a strong range

BHPian abhisheksahas recently shared this with other enthusiasts:

Started from Bangalore on the 3rd of July (2025) at 2 PM and reached Chennai around 9:30 PM, in spite of losing about 30 minutes on a 1-1.5 Km stretch a few kilometers before Hosur. The rest of the trip was near perfect.

With the AC set to to 21C, three passengers + more luggage than what the boot could swallow, the Kona happily pottered the ~ 360 Km from Bangalore to Chennai without stopping for a charging break, and still having plenty of juice to spare (13%, which would have been good enough for another 40-50 Kms), delivering an overall efficiency of 10.9 Km / kwH.

I didn't try to hypermile one bit, kept the regen at level 0, and drove in the eco mode ( my default )

A word on the suspension, it made the drive through bad patches, especially the ones before reaching Chennai, feel extremely comfortable. Even the highway sections, including the imperfect joints on the road, felt reasonably comfortable for a car that was nearly fully loaded.

Last week has been taken up contemplating an upgrade to the Harrier EV Fearless+ 75, but this drive in the Kona has given me ( and the Mrs ) enough reasons to delay the upgrade itch for a while.
