Hyundai has taken the wraps off the all-new generation of its flagship SUV, the Palisade.
The new second-generation Hyundai Palisade features a Range Rover-esque styling thanks to a boxy & upright design. The new Palisade now gets a longer wheelbase compared to the outgoing model, as well as a shorter front overhang and stretched rear overhang. Exterior design elements include vertically-staked rectangular LED headlamps with LED DRLs, flanking a large grille, flared wheel arches, silver-finished D-pillar, vertically-staked tail lights, a roof-integrated spoiler, minimal tailgate design and a faux skidplate on the lower part of the rear bumper.
Inside, the new Palisade features a completely refreshed cabin and dashboard layout. The infotainment & instrument cluster screens are housed in the recess of the wraparound design of the upper dashboard. The lower part of the dashboard features the air-con vents and the physical switches. The centre console is disconnected from the dashboard, providing additional storage space below and features a wireless charger, 100W USB charging outlet and storage cubby.
Hyundai will offer the Palisade in a 9-seater configuration for the first time, with the front centre console allowing it to be utilised as an additional seat. The second row can be had either with individual chairs or a bench seat, while the third row gets a 60:40 split bench seat as standard.
Hyundai is yet to reveal the powertrain options for the new Palisade.
