Hyundai Tucson recalled over electrical issue in the HECU

Hyundai has advised customers to park their vehicles outdoor and away from structures.

Hyundai has decided to recall the Tucson over a possible electrical issue in the Hydraulic & Electronic Control Unit (HECU). It is unclear as to how many vehicles are affected by this recall.

According to the notification sent to customers, the "electrical deficiency" will be rectified by replacing the HECU fuse and updating the ESC software. The inspection will be carried out as a preventive measure although no untoward incident has been reported from anywhere in India.

Owners of the affected vehicles have been requested to get their cars inspected at the nearest Hyundai dealer. The inspection is expected to take approximately 2 hours and the rectification will be done free of cost.

Hyundai has also advised customers to park their vehicles outdoor and away from structures until the issue is rectified.
