Hyundai Venue 1.5L diesel BS6 engine specs

Hyundai is replacing the 1.4-litre diesel engine in the Venue with a BS6-compliant 1.5-litre unit. According to a media report, this engine is expected to produce 99 BHP.

The 1.5-litre diesel engine is similar to the one offered in the Kia Seltos. However, unlike the Seltos, the Venue's engine will get a fixed geometry turbocharger (FGT), hence the slightly lower overall output. The engine is expected to be mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

This engine is also likely to be offered on the Verna facelift, the next-generation i20 and the Kia Sonet sub-4 meter SUV.
