Hyundai Venue facelift garners over 21,000 bookings

The Hyundai Venue competes with the Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon and the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Brezza.

Hyundai has announced that it has received over 21,000 bookings for the Venue facelift that was launched earlier this month. Of these, about a third are for the diesel variants.

The 2022 Venue is available with three engine options. These include a 998cc turbo petrol with 118 BHP and 172 Nm, 1.2-litre petrol producing 82 BHP and 115 Nm and a 1.5-litre diesel that makes 99 BHP and 240 Nm. The crossover comes with a choice of a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, 6-speed iMT and a 7-speed DCT.

As part of the update, the Venue gets a redesigned radiator grille inspired by the Hyundai Palisade. The front bumper has also been tweaked and now features a rectangular air dam. Hyundai has replaced the rectangular tail lamps with a more modern-looking LED set up with a light bar that connects both units.

Inside, the Venue facelift now comes with an updated 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 2-step reclining rear seat, a 4-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, an air purifier, rear AC vents, a wireless phone charger and a digital instrument cluster.
