Hyundai Xcent to be sold alongside the Aura

According to a media report, the Hyundai Xcent is likely to be sold alongside the Aura compact sedan.

The Aura is been rumoured to be the replacement for the Xcent. However, the latter is likely to be retained for the fleet market. It is likely to offered in lower-spec variants for commercial buyers only.

The report states that the Xcent is likely to receive BS6-compliant engines and could be updated to meet the pedestrian safety norms that are scheduled to be implemented from October 2020.

At present, the Xcent is available with a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine which produces 82 BHP and 114 Nm of torque. It is available with a choice of a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission. It is also available with a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder diesel that puts out 74 BHP and 190 Nm and comes paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.
